Shop Listing Pros
For plumbing & heating shops in New England

When the furnace quits, they Google. Make sure they call you.

Plus: missed calls get an instant text back, so the job doesn't go to the next shop.

Most people call one of the first few shops Google shows on the map. What decides who gets that call: your rating and reviews, whether you reply to them, accurate hours, towns and services, and real photos of your work. We do that work on your Google listing for you, so you can keep running jobs.

The problem

You're good at the work. Google doesn't know it yet.

Most shops we look at have the same few gaps. An active Google listing, with fresh posts, photos and replies to reviews, helps you show up in more searches. Screening calls with a quick text means you spend your time on the right jobs.

People call one of the first few

When the boiler quits, nobody scrolls far. They look at the first few shops on the map and call one. If your listing is thin or out of date, they call someone else.

The other guy has more reviews

Your work is just as good. But he's got 200 reviews with answers, you've got 40 with none. People pick the one that looks busy and cared for.

A listing that's years out of date

Old hours. Wrong categories. No heat pumps listed even though you install them. Photos from 2017. Google shows what you gave it.

What we do

Three steps. You keep running jobs.

01

We check it

Free. We look at your listing next to the top shops in your town and send a one-page report: what's missing, what's wrong, and one quick win. Usually within 2 business days.

02

We fix it

Categories, services, service towns, hours, description, photos, Q&A, and replies to your recent reviews. Written to sound like you, not a robot.

03

We keep it sharp

Every month: new posts, replies to every new review within 2 business days, and a short report showing calls, direction requests and website clicks from Google.

Done-for-you extra

Missed-call text back

You could set this up yourself. Most shops don't have the time. We set it up and run it, so you don't have to. Customers keep calling the number you already have. First 30 days free with the Tune-Up.

A call gets missed

You're on a job or it's after hours.

They get a text right away

"Sorry we missed you. What's going on?"

They say what and how urgent

"No heat, 2 kids at home" or "leaky faucet, no rush."

You call back the right ones

Emergencies first. Routine jobs when you have a minute.

Missed calls forward to a local texting line we set up, and the text comes from that line. Landlines can often text from your own number. Text back starts once the phone carriers approve it (usually 1 to 3 weeks). Answer texts from a free phone app.

Also optional: estimate requests. Customers describe the problem and pick times they're free. You approve a time, say you're too busy, or offer a later week. Nothing is booked unless you OK it. Included in the monthly plan, no extra charge. Some shops prefer phone only, and that's fine.

14-day deliver-or-refund guarantee on the Tune-Up

If we don't finish your listing cleanup, review replies and written report within 14 days of getting access, you get your money back. If you change your mind before we start, you also get your money back.

The fine print, in plain words: the 14 days start when you add us as a Manager, and they pause while we're waiting on you (photos, approval). There's no refund once the work is delivered just because you changed your mind, and no refund based on rankings or call volume, since Google controls those. We keep dated before-and-after screenshots, and you get a copy. Full terms are in our one-page agreement.

Google decides rankings, not us. We don't guarantee placement or a number of calls. We do the work Google rewards and show you the numbers every month. No fake reviews, no keyword stuffing, nothing that risks your listing.

What you need to do

About 15 minutes. That's it.

Add us as a manager

We send you the steps. You add [email protected] as a Manager. You stay the owner and can remove us anytime. We never need your password.

2 minutes

Text us some photos

10 to 15 phone pictures: the truck, the crew, a finished job, the shop sign. No photographer needed. We send a shot list.

10 minutes

Give us a quick yes

We send the new description and changes. You reply "looks good" or tell us what to change. Then we get to work.

Who's behind this

One person in Maine. No call center.

I'm Oakley. I started Shop Listing Pros after watching a busy heating company in my area miss call after call one winter. Good shop, great work, nobody free to pick up the phone. The customers just called the next name on Google.

I do the work myself, I answer my own email, and I only work with plumbing and heating shops in New England.

A good fit

  • 1 to 15 person plumbing, heating or HVAC shops
  • Good reviews, but not many replies
  • Owner too busy to keep Google up to date

Not a fit

  • Franchises and call-center brands
  • Anyone who wants guaranteed rankings
  • Anyone who wants fake or paid reviews
Straight answers

Questions shops ask us

Is this a scam?

Fair question. You get plenty of junk calls about Google. Here's how we're different: we never ask for your password, never ask for money before you've seen the free check, never use gift cards or wire transfers, and never lock you into a contract. You can look up exactly what we change on your listing, and remove us with one click.

How do I pay?

You get a normal invoice by email through Stripe. Pay by card or bank transfer. Rather mail a check? That's fine too.

What happens after the free month of text back?

On day 21 we send you how many missed calls it actually caught. On day 30 it shuts off unless you choose the monthly plan. Nothing is billed unless you say yes.

Do I have to use texting or estimate requests?

No. Both are optional. We recommend the missed-call text because it catches people who would otherwise call the next shop. Estimate requests are only for shops that want them, and they come with the monthly plan at no extra charge. The customer tells you what's wrong and when they're free. You decide: pick a time, tell them you're too busy right now, or offer a later week. Nothing lands on your schedule unless you approve it, and it's only for estimates, never actual jobs. It's your calendar. Plenty of shops prefer phone only, and that's fine.

How does yearly billing work?

If you'd rather pay once, the monthly plan is $269/mo billed $3,228 up front for 12 months, instead of $3,588 paid monthly. That saves you $360. Cancel anytime. We refund the months you haven't used, at the $269 rate you paid, back to your card or bank within 10 business days. The month you cancel in counts as used. Paying monthly is always fine too.

Do I sign a contract?

No long-term contract. There's a one-page agreement that spells out what we do and what it costs. That's it.

Can I cancel?

Yes, anytime on the monthly plan. Send one email and it stops at the end of that month. No fees, no hard feelings. Your listing stays yours, with every change we made.

What if I'm not happy with the Tune-Up?

If we don't deliver the listing cleanup, review replies and written report within 14 days of getting access, you get a full refund. If you cancel before we start, you get a full refund. Once the work is delivered, we don't refund for a change of mind or for rankings or calls, which Google controls. We keep dated before-and-after screenshots so there's never a question about what was done.

Your email came from getshoplistingpros.com. Is that you?

Yes. We send first-contact emails from @getshoplistingpros.com so our main inbox stays clean. Replies reach me, Oakley, either way. If you ever get a message claiming to be us from any other address, it isn't us.

Do you need my Google password?

No. Never. Google lets you add someone as a Manager on your listing. You stay the owner, and you can remove us whenever you want.

Who are you?

I'm Oakley, based in Maine. Shop Listing Pros is a small outfit, and I do the work myself. I work by email so I can keep prices low, but if you'd rather talk for 10 minutes first, just ask.

Can you get me to the top of Google?

Nobody honest can promise that. Google decides. What we can do is make your listing complete, active and well-reviewed, which is what Google and customers both look for. Then we show you the numbers.
